[OurSecret Ltd.] (“OurSecret”, “we”) operates the members’ dating service at members.oursecretdate.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We collect only what is needed to make a safe, considered introduction — and never sell it.

Information we collect

• Account details — your email address and a securely hashed password.
• Profile information — your name, date of birth, gender, who you are seeking, your written prompt answers, and the photograph you submit for verification.
• Activity — the introductions you Pass or Connect with, your matches, and your messages.
• Technical data — limited device and log information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

• To verify you are 18 or older and review your application.
• To curate introductions and operate matching and messaging.
• To keep members safe, investigate reports, and enforce our rules.
• To process your membership and prevent fraud.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with vetted service providers who help us operate (such as hosting and payment processing), and only where required by law or to protect the safety of our members.

Your rights and choices

You are in control of your data. From Control in the members’ area you can:

• Export your data — download a complete copy of your profile, correspondence, and reports.
• Pause your account — go offline and disappear from every cohort.
• Delete your account — permanently and immediately erase your profile, messages, and credentials.

Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile and messages are removed immediately; limited records may be retained only as required for legal, safety, or fraud- prevention purposes.

Security

Passwords are stored salted and hashed; we never store them in plain text. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.

Age restriction

OurSecret is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We block applicants who do not meet this requirement and remove any account found to belong to a minor.
